Types of printing
SCREENPRINTING – Screenprinting, is our most common method of printing graphics on apparel. This is because it uses thick inks that lay on top of the garment rather than soaking into it.
SCREENPRINT TRANSFERS – This is ideal for items that cannot be screenprinted directly, but still require bonded ink. Screenprint transfers are suitable for clothing with multiple fabric layers such as jackets, sports bags and some headwear.
DIGITAL TRANSFERS – Suitable for a small number of garments, where multicolour screen printing would be too expensive. We also use this method for fine-detail prints on garments and promotional products.
VINYL TRANSFERS – This is great for team names and numbers for sportswear etc.
EMBROIDERY – This process does have limitations for detail but very effective for garments such as multi-layer jackets, baseball caps and beanies.
How should I supply my artwork?
The following formats for artwork would be great! Please make sure all artwork supplied is the correct colour and the right print size. All files should be saved as CMYK and 300dpi. Please embed all images. All fonts will need to be converted to outlines/curves or the font files should be supplied. For the best quality, we recommend vector files from Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop or Coreldraw.
ILLUSTRATOR – all versions
Save as native vector .AI, .EPS or print-ready .PDF file. Fonts should be converted to outlines.
CORELDRAW – up to version 2021
Save as native vector .CDR file. Fonts should be converted to curves or outlines.
PHOTOSHOP – all versions
Save as native .PSD or .TIF file. Photos – 300 dpi at 100% print size. Line art – 300 dpi or greater, Do not flatten layers, as it is often helpful to have these open for completing the design process for print. Please rasterize all fonts. PSD files may require vectorizing to make them print-ready.
We can use any file, but this will come at additional file preparation costs. We do not accept photos and designs in a word document. If you don't have electronic files we can we can scan your image for you.
